Waiter / Waitress — Student/ Flexi

As a Waiter or Waitress at VIA Antwerp, you help create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. You provide friendly, attentive service and contribute to the smooth running of our food and beverage operations.

Whether you are serving breakfast or assisting during evening service, you represent the VIA Antwerp hospitality experience through your professionalism, energy and attention to guests.

Your responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.

• Take food and beverage orders and communicate them accurately to the kitchen or bar.

• Serve food and drinks efficiently.

• Prepare and clear tables before, during and after service.

• Keep the restaurant and service areas clean and organised.

• Respond to guest questions and requests.

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service.

• Follow food safety, hygiene and service standards.

• You are eligible to work as a student employee in Belgium.

• Previous experience in waiting or food and beverage service is required.

• You have strong communication and customer service skills.

• You communicate well in Dutch and English; additional languages are an advantage.

• You are friendly, presentable, reliable and attentive to detail.

• You work well in a team and can handle busy service periods.

• You are flexible and available for morning or evening shifts and weekends when required.

Working Hours

Shifts may include:

• Morning shifts: approximately 08:00–12:00.

• Evening shifts: approximately 17:00–23:00.

Actual shifts depend on the service schedule and operational needs.
