The role: Night Manager

When the city winds down, you’re just getting started. As Night Manager at Via Antwerp, you’ll be the calm, capable presence that keeps everything running smoothly through the night. From late check-ins to early departures, unexpected hiccups to midnight guest requests — you’ll be the one ensuring our guests feel safe, supported, and genuinely looked after, no matter the hour.

You’ll take charge of the hotel during overnight hours, overseeing the front office operations while also keeping a watchful eye on safety, cleanliness, and guest experience. You’ll be a point of contact for guests and a support system for your teammates, all while making sure everything’s prepped and ready for the next day.

As we prepare to open our doors, you’ll also play a key part in shaping what nights at Via Antwerp look like — from setting the tone for overnight service to helping build systems that work seamlessly 24/7.

What you’ll do

  • Be the go-to person overnight: Handle late arrivals, early departures, guest queries, and emergencies with professionalism and warmth.

  • Keep operations smooth: Oversee night audit procedures, manage front desk duties, and coordinate with relevant departments.

  • Prioritize safety and security: Monitor the building, ensure all areas are secure, and respond quickly to any incidents or concerns.

  • Lead by example: Support and guide the night team (or work solo with confidence), embodying the Via Antwerp spirit in every interaction.

  • Prepare for the day ahead: Ensure reports, handovers, and spaces are all in great shape for the morning shift.

  • Collaborate with teams: Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B to resolve issues and prep for a fresh start each day.

  • Assist with hotel opening: Help establish night-time procedures and systems that will set us up for success from day one.

Job requirements

You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you

  • 2+ years’ experience in a front office or night audit role, ideally in a lifestyle hotel or guest-focused environment.

  • A cool head and strong decision-making skills — you’re calm in a crisis and quick on your feet.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, with the confidence to lead solo shifts or guide a small team.

  • A guest-first mindset and the ability to handle situations with both empathy and professionalism.

  • Fluent in English and Dutch (bonus points for other languages).

  • Familiarity with hotel systems and PMS tools (Mews or Opera experience is a plus).
