The role: Technical Assistant

As our Technical Assistant, you’ll be the go-to person for all things maintenance and engineering. Whether it’s fixing a flickering light, troubleshooting systems, or making sure our spaces are safe and fully functional, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our guests experience smooth, seamless comfort throughout their stay.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Maintenance and the wider hotel team, helping to deliver a consistently high standard of upkeep while also lending your technical know-how during the hotel’s exciting opening phase. It’s a hands-on, proactive role that’s perfect for someone with a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a heart for hospitality.

As we gear up for our June 2025 launch, you’ll help shape our maintenance processes from scratch — putting your stamp on how we care for our building, our guests, and each other.

What you’ll do

• Support the daily maintenance operations: Respond to technical issues swiftly and safely — from plumbing to electrical to general repairs.

• Help prepare for the hotel’s opening: Assist in setting up systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring everything is in top shape before the big day.

• Conduct regular checks: Monitor equipment and facilities to ensure everything’s working as it should — and fix it if it’s not.

• Collaborate with other departments: Work alongside Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B to handle requests and keep the guest experience running smoothly.

• Prioritize safety and compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards while keeping up with local regulations.

• Keep it tidy and organized: Maintain a clean workspace, manage tools and parts efficiently, and log completed tasks and preventive work.

• Stay ahead of the curve: Suggest and implement small improvements that can have a big impact on efficiency and guest satisfaction.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you

• Experience in a similar technical or maintenance role, ideally in a hospitality or service-driven environment.

• A hands-on, can-do attitude and a knack for fixing things.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.

• A proactive mindset and ability to work independently (but also a team player through and through).

• Strong communication skills — you're comfortable liaising with team members and reporting issues clearly.

• Fluency in English and Dutch; additional languages are a plus.

• A passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and being part of something new.
