The role: Sous Chef

As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in this journey, working side-by-side with a passionate team and under the guidance of Omri McNabb’s vibrant culinary vision.

Whether you're an experienced sous chef ready for a fresh challenge or a talented junior chef ready to step up, we’re open to shaping this role to fit the right person. What matters most is your mindset, energy, and love for Mediterranean flavors.
What you’ll do
Support the Head Chef in leading the daily kitchen operation with consistency, creativity, and care.
Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards, aligned with Mea’s bold, ingredient-driven concept.
Collaborate on menu development, bringing fresh ideas and refining existing dishes.
Oversee service during busy shifts, ensuring timing, precision, and quality at every step.
Help manage kitchen organization, stock control, and food cost efficiency.
Lead by example to maintain health, hygiene, and safety standards.
Coach, mentor, and support more junior members of the kitchen team.
Work closely with front-of-house and hotel teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

You might be a seasoned Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready for your next step. Either way, we're open to finding the right fit and building the role around your strengths. You’ll thrive here if you:
Have solid experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a Mediterranean or modern European setting.
Are confident under pressure and take pride in delivering consistently excellent food.
Are naturally collaborative, with great communication and leadership skills.
Are driven by seasonal, vibrant ingredients and love bringing bold flavors to life.
Can manage time, people, and resources effectively.
Are fluent in English — Dutch is a plus, but not essential.
Are excited to be part of a creative, international team opening a new concept from the ground up.
