At Mea, we bring the bold flavours and effortless charm of the Eastern Mediterranean to the heart of Antwerp. Set within the new Via Antwerp hotel in Zurenborg, Mea is more than just a restaurant — it’s a place where stories are shared, plates are passed, and every guest is made to feel at home.

As a Waiter, you’ll be the face of our dining experience — welcoming guests with warmth, guiding them through the menu with confidence, and creating a vibe that feels relaxed, yet full of soul. This is more than taking orders; it’s about connection, personality, and turning every table into a mini journey.

What you’ll do

• Greet guests with energy and warmth, setting the tone for a relaxed, engaging dining experience.

• Share your knowledge of the menu — from fresh mezze to bold grilled dishes — and guide guests through their choices with genuine enthusiasm.

• Deliver smooth, attentive service from start to finish — anticipating needs, reading the room, and keeping the vibe just right.

• Support the setup and breakdown of service, keeping your section clean, organised, and guest-ready.

• Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, accurate service.

• Handle guest feedback with grace — solving small hiccups before they become big ones.

• Be part of a supportive, close-knit team that has each other’s backs on the floor.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you

• Experience in a similar role in a busy, quality-driven restaurant (but passion and personality go a long way too).

• Comfortable carrying trays, managing multiple tables, and staying calm in the buzz of service.

• Warm, confident, and guest-focused — someone who loves creating great moments for others.

• Interested in Mediterranean flavours and eager to learn about our food and wine.

• Fluent in English — Dutch and other languages are a bonus.

• Excited to be part of a pre-opening team and help bring a brand-new concept to life.
