The role: Restaurant Supervisor

Located in the heart of Antwerp’s Zurenborg district and part of the new Via Antwerp hotel, Mea is all about vibrant dishes, soulful service, and a warm, buzzing atmosphere.

As Restaurant Supervisor, you’ll play a central role in shaping that experience from the very start. You’ll support the Restaurant Manager in leading the front-of-house team, ensuring every guest interaction reflects our passion for hospitality and our Mediterranean roots. From pre-opening prep to daily floor leadership, you'll help turn our vision into reality — creating a service culture that's as memorable as the food itself.

What you’ll do

  • Support in recruiting, onboarding, and training the opening FOH team.

  • Lead daily service on the floor — guiding the team, handling guest interactions, and keeping things smooth, stylish, and on-brand.

  • Ensure the Mea service style is consistently delivered — warm, confident, and full of personality.

  • Act as a key point of contact between the kitchen and front of house, ensuring seamless coordination and timing.

  • Handle guest feedback on the spot, solving issues with grace and a solutions-first attitude.

  • Keep an eye on floor operations: table settings, flow, cleanliness, and atmosphere — making sure everything looks and feels just right.

  • Support with ordering, inventory, and shift scheduling when needed.

  • Help build a culture where team members feel supported, inspired, and proud to be part of something new.

Job requirements

You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you

  • Experience in a senior waitstaff or supervisor role, preferably in a busy, high-quality restaurant.

  • Confident leading a team and giving direction in a calm, clear, and motivating way.

  • Passionate about food, service, and creating exceptional guest moments.

  • Great communication skills and a sharp eye for detail.

  • Comfortable jumping into a fast-paced environment with energy and grace.

  • Fluent in English and Dutch — other languages are a big plus.

  • Excited to be part of a pre-opening team and help shape something from the ground up.
