The role: Houseman

You’re the quiet powerhouse behind the scenes — the one who keeps the wheels turning and the spaces sparkling. As our Houseman, you’ll be a vital part of the heartbeat of Via Antwerp, making sure our public areas are spotless, our linen game is on point, and our vibe stays effortlessly fresh.

You’re all about the details, whether it’s fluffing pillows in the lounge, keeping storage areas organized, or making sure the right towels end up in the right rooms. You’re on the move, solving problems before anyone even notices, and making sure guests (and the team!) always feel comfortable, clean, and cared for.

We’re opening our doors in June 2025, so this is your chance to help set the tone from day one — building habits, systems, and standards that keep things running smooth and looking sharp.

What you’ll do

• Keep it fresh: Make sure all public spaces — lobby, lounges, restrooms, hallways — are always clean, tidy, and looking their best.

• Master the linen flow: Support with linen deliveries, collections, sorting, and restocking — keeping everything where it should be, when it should be.

• Be the helping hand: Assist housekeeping with moving supplies, setting up rooms, or stepping in when an extra pair of hands is needed.

• Own your zones: Take pride in your areas and keep a close eye on wear, damage, or things that need fixing.

• Stay organized: Help keep back-of-house areas neat and efficient — storage rooms, laundry drops, supply closets, you name it.

• Support the whole house: Whether it’s running items to a guest room or setting up for an event, you’re the go-to for “we need this done now.”

You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you

• Experience in housekeeping or a similar behind-the-scenes hospitality role.

• You’re physically fit and don’t mind being on your feet (or lifting a few laundry bags).

• Attention to detail is second nature — from spotting a smudge on a mirror to keeping shelves in perfect order.

• Good communication and a team-player mindset — always ready to support wherever needed.

• You’re organized, proactive, and always thinking one step ahead.

• Basic English or Dutch is essential, and any additional languages are a bonus.
